Counter Sales Vacancy (449 Pretoria Road, Silverton)

Responsibilities/Skills:

• Assist walk-in customers with product enquiries and provide professional advice and excellent customer service.
• Prepare accurate quotations, sales orders, and invoices.
• Process customer payments, including cash, card, and account transactions.
• Follow up on outstanding quotations, customer orders, and deliveries to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through professional, friendly, and efficient service.
• Liaise with the warehouse and purchasing departments to ensure customer orders are processed and fulfilled efficiently.
• Promote current promotions and recommend suitable products based on customer requirements.
• Contribute towards achieving individual and team sales targets.
• Maintain a neat, organised, and professional sales and counter area.
  
  

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Valid driver's licence (minimum Code B/ passenger vehicle).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Computer literacy.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a busy retail environment.
• Previous experience in counter sales or retail sales will be advantageous.
• Knowledge of industrial products, including welding equipment and consumables, power tools, PPE, hand tools, and related products, is essential.
